Staff at leading transport, planning, urban design & economics consultancy Colin Buchanan work on some of the country’s major transport infrastructure projects - in 2008 they received an NCE Consultants of the Year Award in recognition of their work undertaken on the Crossrail & Edinburgh Tram projects
They understand the implications of their work on the environment & are at the forefront in adopting green travel plans for their own journeys to & from the office as part of the implemention of an environmental management system which will be certified to ISO 14001:2004 by March 2009. As a consequence, tilney shane’s design for their new office in Paddington had to be green in more ways than one!
As well as significant provision for cycle storage, additional shower & changing facilities were designed into the scheme for the benefit of the many who now get on their bikes & cycle to work.
